FAQs
Health Screening Packages
Mammograms
How should I prepare for the Mammogram?
-
You are recommended to schedule your appointment 5-10 days after menstruation.
-
Kindly notify our staff if you are pregnant or if suspected to be pregnant before the procedure.
-
Please do not apply any powder, perfume, or deodorant on your chest area and under your armpit.
-
Please wear loose-fitting clothing that is easy to remove i.e. baggy t-shirt or tops with front buttons instead of zippers behind and easy wear scarfs/tudung.
-
Please do not wear jewellery during the procedure e.g. long necklaces, or hanging earrings.
Ultrasound
How should I prepare for the Ultrasound Abdomen and Pelvis?
-
Ultrasound Abdomen and Pelvis require a full bladder. Before undergoing a pelvic ultrasound, you will be required to drink several glasses of water.
-
Fasting for 4-6 hours is required before the procedure.
Pap Smear
How should I prepare for the Pap Smear?
-
It is advised to pass urine before doing a Pap smear. A full bladder can add pressure to your pelvic area, making the procedure feel more uncomfortable.
-
Avoid scheduling your Pap smear during your menstruation. Blood can interfere with the accuracy of the test results, as it may obscure the cervical cells being examined.
-
Refrain from sexual intercourse, using tampons, or applying vaginal creams, douches, or medications for 48 hours before the test to ensure the most accurate results.
